Scattered Comments:

Night – missed it. Fuck you mapquest. I don’t know why I even bothered looking at your directions since I knew how to get there on my own, but I did. Really the directions weren’t even close. I actually managed to get in the stadium before the show started (from my mile away parking spot) but was on the mile long line for the ladies room at the time.

No Patti tonight.

Only a few shitty cell pics and videos I won’t bother putting here. I manged to get my camera in (a few people at security check in front of me did not) but a security guy was standing next to me for the entirety of the concert. Sadness.

Reason To Believe -Smokin’ hot. Sang into his harmonica amp and brought back this memory:

Livin’ In The Future – “The last seven years have been an affront to the Constitution.”

Shallow comment that doesn’t belong on the same line as the above: He did an odd stripper pole move with the mic stand during the intro to Living in the Future. I won’t pretend I didn’t like it.

This is where the crowd really started to get into it.

Waitin’ On A Sunny Day – Sing Along! Though we as a crowd totally biffed the the first time he tried to have us sing without him. Cracking up ensued.

Devil’s Arcade – this appeared to be the bathroom song for many in the audience. Fuck the wounded soldiers I guess…

Long Walk Home – so much love.

Badlands – Fist. Pumping, In. The. Air. I think I pulled something.

Girls In Their Summer Clothes – Dedicated to all the Long Island Girls – half sisters to the Jersey Girls

Jungleland - See my previous post for the video of please please please do this at one of my shows. I pretty much lost all dignity and sense of reason when the piano intro started. Perfection.

Born To Run – Just wrap your legs ’round these velvet rims and strap your hands across my engines…

Ramrod – has been stuck in my head all night. Some banter with Little Steven. “Is is quittin’ time? Nah. Is it workin’ time? Nah. <Hits an errant chord unleashing unpleasant reverb> Apparently it’s fuck up time!” Kathleen takes a moment to consider her attraction to cursing men. Thought interrupted by sight of more of Little Steven’s torso than I ever wanted to see.

American Land – and it all ends with an Irish jig, as all things should.

I loved the hell out of this song back in the day. Can’t imagine what it could possibly be like to have cancer for your entire 41 years on earth…
